The VBA 3683 is the most productive single book end sheet feeder on the market. It processes up to 1,000 books per hour – in both edition and single book mode. The attachment of continuous endpapers and hotmelt or PUR gluing ensure top-quality bound books. The VBA 3683 impresses with maximum flexibility: it can be used for all common book block types and has motorized adjustment of the distance from the endsheet fold to spine from 0 to 5 mm. In addition, it can be perfectly upgraded for future market requirements in terms of high investment protection – as a stand-alone or inline with the Vareo PRO HC. Interesting options include electrostatic blocking for unglued single-sheet stacks.

Compact production process

The VBA 3683 impresses with a compact production process for high-quality books. The feeding station features thickness measurement and barcode detection lift up the book block and transports it in the vertical channel. The block will be glued on the side with Hotmelt or PUR. The endsheets will be safe separated out of the magazines and special rails and pressing discs take care of an optimal and exact application of the endsheets to the glued book block.

Unique Operating Concept

Like all Muller Martini machines, the VBA 3683 has a clear menu structure that was developed according to the latest ergonomic principles. On the comfortable 14-inch touchscreen, the operator has all the important production parameters in view and thus quick access to all stations. The menu navigation is clearly structured. The intuitive user interface enables extremely fast changeover and production times.

From the line to the cell

Together with the Vareo PRO perfect binder, the VBA 3683 grows with needs and new requirements. Each Vareo PRO line can be expanded into a cell. Extensions with up to four Vareo PRO into an InfiniTrim three-knife trimmer have already been successfully installed at customer sites. Extensions with several hardcover lines are also possible. If later expansion requirements are known, this is already taken into account during the layout creation in the first phase.
