Combined with a gathering machine, a three-knife trimmer, and equipped with 12 staples, the Antaro is suitable for the production of offset jobs and achieves an output of 4000 cycles/hour. The Antaro perfect binder is not only very compact, but also extremely flexible in use: whether signature stacks, pre-glued or thread-stitched book blocks, or single-sheet stacks—the Antaro reliably processes all common types of book blocks. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be expanded at any time and adapted to new requirements. This is real investment protection for the future.
The Antaro features a continuously running swivel clamp system for highly reliable and efficient production. Book blocks are transported horizontally on their spine and seamlessly transferred by fully opened clamps for maximum process stability. Nearly all adjustment axes on the Antaro / Antaro Digital are fully automated, enabling outstanding performance and virtually zero setup times.
The perfect binder features a main milling station and a spine preparation unit, ensuring optimal preparation of the book block spine. The gluing units can be exchanged easily. It supports EVA/PO hotmelt and PUR adhesives, and when using the PUR nozzle, an adhesive monitoring system ensures precise glue application control.
Depending on its configuration, the Antaro offers maximum flexibility. In addition to softcover brochures, it can also produce hardcover book blocks, flex brochures, and layflat brochures such as Swiss and Otabind – both in single-book and high-volume production modes.
