By investing in two Alegro perfect binding systems from Muller Martini, Solo Printing has taken a decisive step toward securing its future. The highly automated systems enable significantly shorter setup times, higher production speeds, and a capacity increase of up to 40 percent. This allows the company to flexibly accept additional orders and deliver high-quality print products to its customers even faster.

The two new perfect binders, an Alegro with PUR binding, 18 feeders, and a stacker, and another Alegro with hot melt binding, 9 feeders, and a stacker, have not only significantly increased production capacity but also changed the entire process landscape within the company. Whereas setup times for perfect binding jobs used to take two to three hours, they have now been reduced by about half thanks to the high level of automation of the Alegro systems. Setup is carried out via a central control panel that electronically records all relevant parameters, allowing the machine to adjust automatically. This significantly reduces waste and allows production to start faster.

Robert Hernandez, Vice President of Sales, describes the advantages as follows: “We have halved our setup times and increased our capacity by up to 40 percent. This means that we can accept additional orders that we previously had to turn down.” The flexibility gained by purchasing two machines is particularly important for Solo Printing. Our employees benefit above all from the faster setup processes, which are much less complicated,” explains Hernandez.
