The Antaro Digital stands for state-of-the-art perfect binding technology and maximum flexibility in digital book production. With book block thickness variations of up to 20 mm from one book to the next and a performance of up to 2,000 cycles per hour, it combines precision and productivity—making it the ideal solution for highly variable jobs, including print runs as small as a single copy. Developed specifically for on-demand production, it convinces with automatic changeovers and minimal waste. The swing clamp system ensures safe transport of the book blocks, while the integrated InfiniTrim trimming robot enables end-to-end, fully automated production. The barcode-controlled assignment of the block cover and an intelligent ejection system minimize errors – perfect for the requirements of smart, networked production.
Highly automated – to the individual book
The Antaro Digital features a continuously running swivel clamp system. Book blocks are transported horizontally, standing on their spines, and are securely transferred into the respective clamp for reliable processing.Its extra-large clamp pitch enables the efficient production of both softcover books and hardcover book blocks, accommodating book block thickness variations of up to 20 mm from one book to the next without any reduction in performance. Book thickness and all other format-related parameters are adjusted fully automatically, ensuring maximum flexibility and efficiency for highly variable production environments.
Extremely process-reliable production
In the digital version, the newly designed drum cover feeder combined with a downstream storage wheel guarantees that covers are separated reliably. A barcode reader ensures that the book block and cover fit together securely. Used in combination with the standard cover ejection positioned before the scoring device, the Antaro Digital effectively reduces waste and in doing so achieves a whole new level of productivity.
