Produce Even More Efficiently with Full Flexibility Using the New Separo PRO Destacker

With the new Separo PRO from Muller Martini, automated book-of-one production becomes even easier for full-service print shops. That’s because the destacker reliably and efficiently separates pre-glued or thread-sewn book blocks for softcover and hardcover production. Even with varying block thicknesses and formats, it reliably processes the book blocks from stack to stack.

Thanks to the first-in, first-out principle (FIFO), the order of the book blocks is maintained, which significantly simplifies the production process. The book blocks leave the destacker in the same order in which they were previously stacked. Individual, already-separated book blocks or stacks of single sheets can be transported directly via the bypass function.

The Separo PRO can be flexibly integrated into various production environments – for example, inline ahead of the two perfect binders Vareo PRO and Antaro Digital, as well as the Diamant MC hardcover book lines from Muller Martini. This allows users to increase process reliability and the net output of their system, while creating the conditions for cost-effective production of medium and small runs, right down to single books. The Separo PRO can also be loaded manually.

With up to 2,000 cycles per hour, the Separo PRO ensures efficient and reliable separation of book blocks. In run production, up to 4,000 book blocks per hour are possible under defined conditions. Initial field experience shows productivity gains of up to 30 percent. The destacker thus supports high net output and helps increase the profitability of the entire production line.
