Interest in this topic was particularly great for two reasons. First, smaller systems are chiefly in demand for digital production in the Middle East. Second, the two Swiss machine manufacturers Muller Martini and Hunkeler had showcased combined book block solutions at Hunkeler Innovationdays in Lucerne a few weeks previously. Such solutions provide a seamless, integrated workflow based on the Connex data and process management system. Specialists from Muller Martini and Hunkeler, who were likewise present at the Giffin booth, therefore presented the advantages of integrated production solutions to representatives of the graphic arts companies during in-depth individual discussions at the trade fair.
