Review of the year 2020

What a turbulent year it was! When we here in the editorial staffs office look back on the last twelve months, we still rub our eyes in amazement. Face masks in the office, home office, short-time work and Skype meetings en masse - the Corona pandemic has turned everyday working life upside down at Muller Martini as well. But the heart of the graphic arts industry continues to beat unwaveringly. And so, despite all the imponderables, we have once again taken up exciting topics in our blog this year. The following highlights captivated our readers most in 2020.

In 1st place a typical Muller Martini solution: modular + hybrid + 3-in-1 = multifunctional
In the winners' blog, our Sales Manager Eric Olsen (USA) reports on the versatility of Muller Martini finishing systems. This is illustrated by the example of the multifunctional Alegro Digital perfect binding line.

Silver goes on: The new Prinova - focus on the essentials
In October, Muller Martini launched the Prinova, a new 9000 cycle/h saddle stitcher. Before it was ready for the market, a long-standing customer of ours tested it for months on end.

Bronze winner: "In case of an emergency, I double and triple-check everything"
Marie-Theres Hilpert works in the spare parts service center (ESC) and helps to ensure 24/7 availability. This means regular night and weekend assignments for her and brings her experiences of the category "unforgettable".

Just past the podium: Muller Martini continues to assemble despite Corona
The situation surrounding the corona virus naturally also influences our daily work routine in the assembly department at Muller Martini's headquarters in Zofingen. In our blog, we report on the measures we have taken to keep operations running for our customers.

Number 5: On the way to becoming a printing technologist
The graphics industry is a male bastion. But Tina Floder, student of print and media technology at the Stuttgart Media University, has never given it much thought. She is confident that she will make her way into the working world as a printing technologist.
